About the project

“Watch Listing helps to promote and facilitate all of FHR’s projects, including the restoration of monumental Georgian colonial buildings as well as small vernacular dwellings, our training programme, and local educational and outreach efforts.” Eryn Brennan

Parish Church Windows

“Two of the windows of St Peter’s Anglican Church were recently restored. Dating back to 1796, the church is the most visited tourist site in Falmouth and an exquisite example of Georgian architecture in the Caribbean.

The two windows on the east facade were removed by FHR. Undamaged material was cleaned and new parts constructed for the portions of the frame that were beyond repair. The window restoration is part of a larger effort to restore the exterior facade of the Church.” James Parrent

7 Queen Street

“Many of the buildings we work to preserve are owned by local residents, many of whom are poor and unable to restore their own homes. The majority of the occupants remain in the houses whilst the work is carried out. These buildings are not historical relics but people’s homes, FHR’s building programmes go some way to achieving FHR’s mission to improve the lives of the people of Falmouth.” James Parrent
