Introduction
From Wa Naa’s Palace in Ghana to the aboriginal rock art of Dampier in North-West Australia, all types of buildings are eligible for nomination to the 2008 WORLD MONUMENTS WATCH LIST OF 100 MOST ENDANGERED SITES.

The Watch List is our main advocacy tool and is released every two years. Sites can be nominated by anyone who cares for the future of the building - governments, conservation professionals, NGO’s or concerned and passionate individuals.
All nominations are reviewed by an independent panel of international experts convened by WMF.
In 2007, the panel was chaired by Tim Whalen, Director of the Getty Institute in Los Angeles.
You can download a full list of the panel and their biographies here. This section contains highlights from the current list as well as a description of the main success of the list within the UK.
